Raffle Ticket Printing
By Mike Bannoura
Raffle tickets are a staple of fundraisers, school events, charity galas, and business promotions. While generic roll tickets from the office supply store get the job done, custom printed raffle tickets elevate your event and can actually increase participation. When people see professional tickets with your organization's branding, event details, and prize descriptions, they perceive more value and are more likely to buy.
The essential elements of an effective raffle ticket are: your organization name and logo, the event name and date, ticket number (sequential), ticket price, prize description or list, and contact information. Most raffle tickets include a detachable stub where the buyer writes their name and phone number. The stub goes in the drawing bowl while the buyer keeps the numbered ticket. This two-part design requires a perforation between the stub and the keeper portion.
Sequential numbering is critical for accountability and fairness. It lets you track how many tickets were sold, reconcile the money collected, and verify winners. At PostNet Denver, we print variable data numbering where each ticket gets a unique sequential number. Numbers can be placed on both the stub and the keeper portion so both the organization and the buyer have matching numbers for verification.
For printing, most raffle tickets are produced on 65lb to 80lb cardstock, which is thick enough to feel substantial but thin enough to tear cleanly at the perforation. Standard ticket sizes are 2 by 5.5 inches for single tickets or 2.75 by 8.5 inches for tickets with a detachable stub. Full-color printing makes your tickets look professional, but even a well-designed two-color ticket on colored cardstock can look great at a lower cost.
PostNet Denver prints custom raffle tickets starting at $79 for a set of 100. We handle the design, numbering, perforation, and cutting. Most orders are ready in two to three business days, with rush options for last-minute events. We also print the supporting materials for your raffle: posters announcing the prizes, table signs, and winner announcement cards. If you have a fundraiser coming up, bring us your ideas and we will help you create a complete ticket package.
